Patricia A. Hoban-Moore, Director of the Office of Field Policy and Management, brings to the division unmatched experience in housing, community development, and public housing based on 30 years of service in the federal and local sectors.
Prior to serving as Director, Pat was Deputy Regional Director, Atlanta Regional Office. She was the region's highest ranking civil servant and was responsible for 1,475 HUD employees. She also served in Birmingham, Pensacola, Memphis, and in New Orleans, Louisiana. In that capacity, she helped the HUD Recovery Team with an Administrative take-over of the New Orleans Housing Authority, designated as one of the most troubled authorities in the nation. Pat served as HUD Director in Mississippi from 1996-2002.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Pat attended undergraduate and graduate school at Wayne State University. She holds her master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Georgia. Pat has taught as an adjunct professor of Government and Public Administration.
