Disaster Recovery Enhancement Fund
The Disaster Recovery Enhancement Fund (DREF) was a $311,602,923 set-aside under the disaster recovery supplemental appropriation P.L. 110-329. DREF awards were announced August 26, 2010.

This guidance has also been sent directly to each state grantee. In order to maintain consistency in regard to answering questions about possible DREF-eligible activities, the guidance directs all grantee inquiries to the Disaster Recovery and Special Issues Division at HUD HQ. It is up to each grantee to identify all eligible activities that qualify for an additional allocation under the DREF
by the June 30, 2010, deadline.
There will be no formal application process. HUD HQ staff will review all action plans after June 30th to determine final allocation amounts.
