FHA is pleased to announce the availability of a series of pre-recorded training modules that address the bulk of the Single Family (SF) Housing policies that mortgagees will use for origination through obtaining an FHA insurance endorsement for Title II forward mortgages. The modules provide a detailed walk through of the policies and requirements contained in sections II.A and II.B of FHA’s Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages section of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook (SF Handbook; HUD Handbook 4000.1).

June 22, 2016 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Eastern) - "FHA Loss Mitigation Training (Atlanta Homeownership Center)" FHA and Atlanta Legal Aid will provide free classroom training on FHA Loss Mitigation, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Mortgage Servicing Regulations, Helping Borrowers Navigate HomeSafe GA Programs, and Helping Surviving Spouses and Other Heirs with Loss Mitigation. Target audience for the event is HUD approved housing counselors and nonprofits. Registration required. No fee.
June 23, 2016 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mountain) – "FHA Appraisal (Denver Homeownership Center)" This free one-day class discusses FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol and updates to FHA appraisal policy. It also equips attendees with the knowledge to determine property eligibility. The course is a refresher for seasoned FHA appraisers and provides valuable information to appraisers new to the FHA Roster. Although primarily intended for appraisers, other industry professionals will also benefit, including underwriters, processors, etc. Registration required. No fee.
June 24, 2016 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Mountain) – "FHA Underwriting Training (Denver Homeownership Center)" This free training will be a great refresher class for underwriters, loan officers, processors, and managers, and will provide an overview of FHA underwriting procedures. Credit scenarios; new construction/Build on Own Land; occupancy and refinance transactions will be covered. Registration required. No fee.
