FHA is pleased to announce the availability of a series of pre-recorded training modules that address the bulk of the Single Family Housing policies that mortgagees will use for origination through obtaining an FHA insurance endorsement for Title II forward mortgages. The modules provide a detailed walk through of the policies and requirements contained in sections II.A and II.B of FHA’s Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages section of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook (SF Handbook; HUD Handbook 4000.1).

 September 1, 2015 - Chicago, IL. FHA Loss Mitigation Training. This is classroom training for HUD-approved Housing Counseling agencies, servicing lenders, and nonprofits. The training will provide information on FHA Loss Mitigation tools. It will cover new changes with the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), preforeclosure sale, and deed-in-lieu. Registration required. No fee.

September 2, 2015 - Fort Lauderdale, FL. FHA Loss Mitigation Training. This is classroom training for HUD-approved Housing Counseling agencies, servicing lenders, and nonprofits. The training will provide information on FHA Loss Mitigation tools. It will cover new changes with the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), preforeclosure sale, and deed-in-lieu. Registration required. No fee.

September 3 and 16, 2015 –“SF Handbook - Servicing and Loss Mitigation: An Overview of Changes” webinars. This section of the SF Handbook becomes effective on March 14, 2016.  Join policy experts from FHA’s National Servicing Center for this live webinar session, offered on two different dates. This webinar can be viewed right from your desktop and covers the Servicing and Loss Mitigation section’s structure and format, and the key policy revisions contained within the following sub-sections: Servicing of FHA-Insured Mortgages; Default Servicing – Programs and Products; and Servicer Tier Ranking System II. September 14, 2015 - Atlanta, GA. FHA Lender Training. This FREE FHA on-site training is intended for mortgage professionals, including underwriters, processors, and loan officers. The training is to assist in preparing the industry for the release of new FHA Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications and updates in topics such as CIA (credit, income and asset) documentation, Manual Underwriting, AUS, closing and more. Registration required. No fee.

September 15, 2015 - Atlanta, GA. FHA Appraiser Training. This FREE FHA on-site training is intended for appraisers, mortgage loan professionals, including underwriters and loan officers. The training is to assist in preparing the industry for the release of new FHA Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications and updates on topics such as: property acceptability criteria, underwriting the appraisal, minimum property requirements, property defective conditions, Enhanced appraiser responsibilities and requirements, programs and products (i.e. 203k, EEM) and much more. Registration required. No fee.

September 23, 2015 - Birmingham, AL. FHA Loss Mitigation Training. This is classroom training for HUD-approved Housing Counseling agencies, servicing lenders, and nonprofits. The training will provide information on FHA Loss Mitigation tools. It will cover new changes with the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), preforeclosure sale, and deed-in-lieu. Registration required. No fee.
