NEW FHA is pleased to announce the availability of a new series of pre-recorded training modules that address the bulk of the Single Family Housing policies that mortgagees will use for origination through obtaining an FHA insurance endorsement for Title II forward mortgages. The modules provide a detailed walk through of the policies and requirements contained in sections II.A and II.B of FHA’s Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages section of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook (SF Handbook; HUD Handbook 4000.1).

July 22, 2015 – Cypress, CA. SF Handbook “A Live Dialogue” Forum. “A Live Dialogue” offers an in-depth discussion of the strategy, features, and benefits of the SF Handbook now and in the future. During this three-hour session, attendees will hear from FHA subject matter experts, who will present an overview of published sections of the SF Handbook to set context for a mutual exchange of information, questions, and answers among attendees and FHA staff. June 18, 2015 - Minneapolis, MN. The FHA Appraisal.  This one day class discusses FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol, updates to FHA appraisal policy, as well as equips attendees with the knowledge to determine property eligibility.  This course provides a refresher to seasoned FHA appraisers, as well as provides valuable information to appraisers new to the FHA roster. Although primarily intended for appraisers, other industry professionals will also benefit, including underwriters, processors, etc.  Seven hours of appraisal continuing education for the States of Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa have been approved.  This is an AQB-approved appraisal continuing education course. Class is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Central).  Registration is required.  No fee.

June 18, 2015 - San Juan, PR. FHA Appraiser Training. This is classroom training for appraisers and underwriters. The training is to assist in preparing the industry for the release of new Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications, updates on topics such as: property acceptability criteria, underwriting the appraisal, minimum property requirements, property defective conditions, enhanced appraiser responsibilities and requirements, and programs and products (i.e. 203k). Registration required. No fee.

June 17, 2015 - San Juan, PR. FHA Appraiser Training. This is classroom training for appraisers and underwriters. The training is to assist in preparing the industry for the release of new Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications, updates on topics such as: property acceptability criteria, underwriting the appraisal, minimum property requirements, property defective conditions, enhanced appraiser responsibilities and requirements, and programs and products (i.e. 203k). Registration required. No fee.

June 16, 2015 - San Juan, PR. FHA Lender Training. This is classroom training for underwriters. The training is to assist in preparing the industry for the release of new Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications, updates on topics such as CIA (credit, income, and asset) documentation, manual underwriting, AUS, closing, and more. Registration required. No fee.

June 16, 2015 - Jacksonville, FL. FHA Loss Mitigation Training. This is classroom training for HUD-approved Housing Counseling agencies, servicing lenders, and nonprofits. The training will provide information on FHA Loss Mitigation tools. It will cover new changes with the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), preforeclosure sale, and deed-in-lieu. Registration required. No fee.

May 20, 2015 - Louisville, KY. FHA Loss Mitigation Training. This is classroom training for HUD-approved Housing Counseling agencies, servicing lenders, and nonprofits.
