Mortgagee Letter 06-15, dated June 8, 2006, announced HUD's requirements for reporting all FHA mortgages that are (or were) 30 or more days delinquent. This information is sent to HUD's Single Family Default Monitoring System (SFDMS). These revised reporting requirements were effective for the October, 2006 reporting cycle, which began November 1, 2006.

Mortgagee Letter 2011-28, dated August 15, 2011, announced updated default status codes for Trial Payment Plans for Loan Modification and Partial Claims. Mortgagee Letter 2011-37, dated October 18, 2011, provided implementation date requirements for servicers.
