Delaware State Housing Authority

General Information

The Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) was created in 1968. Today, DSHA functions as a government agency as well as an entrepreneurial developer and lending institution. In addition to its role as the State's housing finance agency, DSHA owns and operates units at public housing sites, administers Section 8 vouchers, and acts as a community development organization.

DSHA currently operates approximately 500 public housing units and 600 Housing Choice Voucher units.

MTW Status

DSHA first became part of the MTW demonstration in 1999 as one of the original MTW agencies. DSHA signed the Standard Agreement in 2008, extending its participation in MTW until the end of its 2018 fiscal year.
