Jacksonville Residents Shape Their 2025 Destiny
A shared vision and financial education, pillars for a better future

JAX2025 is a civic driven initiative created to decide today what kind of community this Florida city wants to be in the year 2025. The Jacksonville Community Council facilitates the conversation, originated in 2012 with 19,000 residents who shared a vision, proposed solutions and are implementing them.

HUD joined JAX2025 and has engaged to help stabilize low-income families via financial literacy and education. One of these educative events recently took place with the organization Family Foundations, through their Wise Money Week program. This is a resource to canvas targeted neighborhoods and HUD-assisted properties to offer programs, classes and activities to educate consumers about ways they can be more financially stable.

The Third Annual Jacksonville Wi$e Money Week , held in May, was celebrated by City of Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown, and HUD Jacksonville Field Office Director, Alesia Scott-Ford at a May 27th event.
