The Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) was in Reno, Nevada on July 9, 2012 to explore ways to open up new refinancing opportunities for millions of distressed homeowners.

Secretary Shaun Donovan attended a round table discussion Monday with Nevada State Treasurer Kate Marshall and local officials in Reno.

Nevada had among the worst foreclosure rates nationally in recent years. They discussed a series of refinancing proposals before Congress and other matters.
