Community Planning and Development
Serving Puerto Rico/U.S. Virgin Islands

The San Juan Community Planning and Development (CPD) Office oversees the distribution of certain federal funding to local governments in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands: Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), funding under the HOME affordable housing program, and programs to help end homelessness and promote economic revitalization.

Information about this funding, how your local government has determined to use it, and related resources are compiled for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

If you have questions about how your community is using HUD funds, how you can access funding to improve your community, or how to apply for assistance to improve your housing situation, call or visit your local government contacts.
