Section 3 - Economic Opportunity
HUD's Section 3 program promotes neighborhood economic development and individual self-sufficiency. HUD Grantees are encouraged to provide job training and employment opportunities for lower income residents in connection with projects and activities in their neighborhoods. Faith-Based Conferences
The White House is hosting a series of conferences around the nation (in New Orleans, Washington DC, Sacramento, and Dallas) to connect social service organizations with resources to strengthen and expand the services they offer in our communities. Conference topics include grants and funding opportunities, and help to form effective partnerships with local governments.
