Please note that FHA is in the process or updating our handbooks. Past mortgagee letters will be incorporated into the new handbooks and new letters will be incorporated into the handbooks upon release.

Single Family Mortgagee Letters - (Top)

Since 1934, FHA has communicated changes in policy and procedures by issuing Mortgagee Letters. Future Mortgagee Letters will be added to the appropriate Handbook upon release. Previously issued Letters will be incorporated into the rewrite of existing Handbooks

HUDclips is a searchable database that houses all of HUD's Handbooks, Notices, Mortgagee Letters, Code of Federal Regulations, Federal Register and other policy documents.

HUD's Online Library has links to Freedom of Information Act reading room, lists of reports, periodicals, and literature on housing, homelessness, public and Indian housing, etc. for basic research. Housing's Bookshelf contains documents about design, finance, maps, data, etc.
