Accessibility
In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals.
At the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), we are committed to making this website accessible to everyone, particularly people with disabilities. The technologies administered to build and improve our website are based on the Section 508 standards as we work towards a fully accessible 508 compliant Internet presence for FHA. If you have a disability and the format of any material on our website interferes with your ability to access specific information, please contact our Web Manager at: FHAWebManager@hud.gov. The Web Manager will refer your request to the appropriate FHA component. The component will respond promptly to you by providing an alternate format of the requested material. To enable us to respond in a manner that will be of most help to you, please indicate the nature of the accessibility problem, your preferred format (electronic format (ASCII, etc.), standard print, large print, etc.), the web address of the requested material, and your full contact information so we can reach you if questions arise while fulfilling your request.
On this site you may find documents in Portable Document Format (PDF), Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), Macro Enabled Excel (.xlms) and Powerpoint (.ppt). If you're having trouble accessing any of these files, visit the Microsoft Office website and the Adobe website for instructions on how to access Microsoft Office files and Portable Document Format files. If you're using screenreaders or require alternate versions of Adobe Acrobat, you may find it useful to visit Adobe's alternate reader download page.
