Students Making a Difference in the Heartland: Building Affordable Housing with Habitat for Humanity

New single-family homes in the Mill Air Creek Development in Wichita‚ Kansas: These homes were built by Power CDC with the support of HUD’s HOME program.

HUD funding helped transform the Eaton Hotel‚ a vacant‚ deteriorating landmark in downtown Wichita‚ Kansas into 115 units of mixed-income housing.

The new Colvin Neighborhood City Hall in Wichita’s Planeview area was financed with HUD’s Community Development Block Grants program.

HUD participated in a public-private partnership to provide low-income jobs and small business opportunities by redeveloping the closed University Plaza shopping center.
