Students Making a Difference in the Heartland: Building Affordable Housing with Habitat for Humanity

This home was renovated with the Wichita’s exterior repair program‚ funded with HUD’s Community Development Block Grant program.

Community Development Block Grant funds were used to renovate the Lynette Woodard basketball court at a Wichita city-owned recreation Center.

HUD funds were used to renovate the Aley Park swimming pool in Wichita to provide lower-income youth access to public swimming areas within their neighborhood.

HUD funding helped renovate the Evergreen Regional Library and Day Care Center in a predominately Hispanic area of Wichita.
