The Department is accepting applications from individuals to serve on the Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) on a continuing basis during the calendar year.

The Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) is a statutory Federal Advisory Committee body charged with providing recommendations to the Secretary on the revisions and interpretation of HUD’s manufactured home construction and safety standards and related procedural and enforcement regulations.

The Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000 provides for twenty-one voting members allocated equally to three categories:  Producers/Retailers, Users/Consumers, and General Interest/Public Officials.  Members are appointed to the MHCC by the Secretary annually to serve for a three-year term, not to exceed two consecutive terms, at the Secretary discretion.  Vacancies become available at the end of each calendar year and new appointments or reappointments are made in the following calendar year.
